Neck Lift
What Is Neck Lift Surgery?
Neck lift surgery is a facial aesthetic surgery that involves stretching the skin in the neck area to correct sagging caused by aging and provide you with firmer skin. Neck lift surgery typically focuses on the lower face, neck, and chin area. It is a procedure that is used to tighten sagging skin on the neck.
The majority of patients prefer to have a neck lift as well as a facelift. If both the face and neck show visible signs of aging, our patients benefit from face and neck lift surgery.
The sagging skin on the neck and around the chin is stretched and excess tissues under the skin are removed during neck lift surgery to restore the face to a younger shape. If you are interested in neck lift surgery in Turkey, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Esvita Clinic and request an online consultation.
Why Get a Neck Lift?
Aging causes skin elasticity to decline, resulting in sagging skin and wrinkles in the neck area, also known as a double chin. Even though aging is a natural part of life, when the traces of aging begin to be reflected on our skin, people who are unhappy with these images choose neck lift surgery as a solution. The “double chin” and deep wrinkles in the lower part of the face are stretched at the end of the neck lift surgery, giving your face a younger appearance.
Who Might Benefit From Neck Lift Surgery?
Most patients who seek neck lift surgery prefer it to address more regional issues rather than facelift surgery. Patients range in age from 30 to 60 years. However, before deciding on neck lift surgery, we strongly advise you to consult with an aesthetic surgeon. You can request a free online consultation from our clinic, and we will determine whether you are a good candidate for neck lift surgery together. However, in general, the best candidates for this procedure are:
- People over the age of 30,
- People who are in good health,
- People who have excess skin in the chin and neck area that has lost its elasticity
- People who have excess chin and neck fat

How Is Neck Lift Surgery Performed?
If you are experiencing sagging in the neck and chin area due to aging and are considering neck lift surgery, please explain your desires and expectations in detail to our doctors. You will be informed in detail about the operation day once you and your doctor have decided that neck lift surgery is the best option.
Neck lift surgery takes about an hour or two and is done under general anesthesia. Two incisions are made under or behind the ear during the procedure, and excess fat in the neck or chin is removed. A small amount of muscle is usually removed, and the remaining muscle is tightened.
After the surgery, you must keep your neck immobilized for at least a week. You will, however, need to get up and move around to avoid becoming immobile. After the first week, you can gradually start moving your neck.
Swelling and bruises are normal after surgery, but they will disappear after a few days. Scars from this procedure are frequently hidden beneath the jawline. The movement of your face may cause some tension in your neck. However, the tension will subside after a week and you can move normally again. After a week or two, you should be able to return to work and most normal activities. However, after 4 weeks, you can begin activities such as sports.
